The following positions are available:
Trainer-Madison/Corporate Office
We have an immediate opening for a Training Coordinator in our Madison corporate office. The Training Coordinator is responsible for helping members make their dreams come true by providing unbeatable service. They will do this by planning, developing and implementing the credit union’s employee education and training programs. They will also ensure that ongoing development of all employees reflects strategic priorities and quality service to members.
Essential Job Duties:
- Research, plan, organize, and conduct training programs, seminars, and webinars for all staff.
- Write material for new training programs; reviews, evaluates, and modifies existing and proposed programs; recommends appropriate changes.
- Assist management and outside training experts with preparing and administering various training programs.
- Develop and maintain the new employee orientation program
- Measure and monitor training effectiveness.
- Prepares and distributes training aids such as instructional material, handouts, evaluation forms, and visual aids; sets up audiovisual equipment and makes presentations when necessary.
- Maintain a documentation system of employee development and training
- Responsible for understanding and adhering to all policies, procedures and regulations.
- Sustain a high degree of knowledge of all credit union products and services, ensuring quality service and convenience is delivered to Heritage CU members.
- Contribute to the achievement of branch goals.
- Arrive promptly and prepared for staff meetings and trainings. Assume ownership for securing information communicated during personal absence.
- Assume responsibility for personal development through training, collaboration and teamwork.
- Demonstrate professionalism and integrity; taking personal responsibility for actions and treating all resources entrusted to us as if they were our own
- Consistently act as part of a cohesive team, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact positively with other employees.
- Handle conflict directly and discreetly. Show empathy and respect in all interactions with members and co-workers. Maintain open and respectful communication with other departments. Accept ownership for errors and follow up appropriately.
- Assume responsibility for branch duties as assigned or needed.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in training, human resources or related field or experiential equivalent of 3-5 years experience in training with an emphasis on financial institutions.
- Excellent problem solving and research skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated analytical and math skills.
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with staff and customers.
- Personal computer skills including MS Word and MS Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to process paperwork accurately and efficiently.
Language Skills
- Must be fluent in English
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
Supervisory Experience
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
