Overdraft Program for HCU Members

Member Privilege is a service Heritage Credit Union (HCU) has implemented for members. Member Privilege is a overdraft privilege limit that is automatically assigned to your account. There is no action required on your part, you don't have to do anything. As long as you maintain your checking account in good standing, which is defined as making regular deposits and brining your account to a positive balance at least once every 30 days, HCU may honor overdrafts up the member Privilege limit on your account.

There are no additional costs for this privilege. However, you will be charged our NSF fee of $30.00 each item paid under the limit. Your limit is based on your account, so if you have Free Checking you have a limit of $300, if you have Dividend Checking you have a $500 limit.

At HCU, we do not encourage overdrafts. As always, we encourage you to manage your finances responsibly. The purpose of this service is to save you from the embarrassment, additional merchant fees or other problems that may result if a check is returned.
